Add household context
EPC information describes the building. Occupancy and lifestyle information helps create a separate, clearly labelled estimate.
Enter annual kWh from a bill or supplier
Look for “annual consumption”, “estimated annual usage” or a twelve-month total. Record whether the supplier figure is actual or estimated.
Estimate a year from two readings
This uses the consumption between two dates and scales it to 365 days. Seasonal heating means a short period can be misleading, so longer periods are better.
Use the value on the bill where available.

Benchmarks use 2024 domestic medians from the government’s National Energy Efficiency Data-Framework 2026 release. They describe typical groups, not this individual household.
